Nepali immigrants to the USA are mostly of the first-generation, currently emerging into one of the most vibrant populations in the USA. They are deeply connected with what they have left behind while adapting to new cultures of the new lands. However, this connection and the lively exchange will not last forever and perhaps diminish greatly in the years to come. Thus making the blending of our cultural traditions and our life in America is evolving into an experience worth preserving.
Hence, it is vital to document and preserve our experiences and existence in America as first-generation immigrants in as many ways as possible. I have been working on this project since 2018, using painting, photography, multi-media installation, video, and audio to document our lives
