Yuvak Tuladhar

Born in Kathmandu, Nepal, and currently based in the San Francisco Bay Area, California, Yuvak Tuladhar is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice navigates the intersections of memory, identity, and place. His body of work reflects a dialogue between his cultural heritage and diasporic experience, weaving together the visual and spiritual sensibilities of Nepal with the material and technological landscape of contemporary America.

Working fluidly across media—including oil and acrylic painting, laser engraving, CNC fabrication, woodworking, photography, and film—Tuladhar explores the tension between tradition and innovation, craftsmanship and digital precision. His process often merges handwork with machine aesthetics, creating a visual language that is at once meditative and materially grounded.

Tuladhar holds an MFA in Fiber Arts from the Savannah College of Art and Design (Savannah, GA) and an MFA in Painting from Banaras Hindu University (Varanasi, India). He is a recipient of the Fulbright-Hays Scholarship, the Merit Scholarship from BHU, and several other awards recognizing his artistic achievement.

He has presented seventeen solo exhibitions across Nepal, India, and the United States, most recently at Takpa Gallery in Kathmandu (October 2024). His commissioned paintings and installations appear in various public and private spaces throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.

In recent years, Tuladhar has been an active collaborator within the Nepali diaspora art community in California. His recent group exhibitions include Materialized Thoughts I at the California Institute of Integral Studies (San Francisco, CA), Materialized Thoughts II at the Piedmont Arts Center (August 2025) (Piedmont, CA), and Nostalgic Expressions, August thru November, 2025, Aurora Municipal Library (Aurora, CO).
